1. Antilla
Location: South Mumbai,India
Cost: $1 billion

This house is the world’s most expensive house which is in India and owned by one of the richest people of the world i.e. Mukesh Ambani. It is worth 1 billion dollars and has 27 floors. This house has a health club and a garage that can hold more than 150 cars and you know why it can hold 150 cars? Because the person who owns it has himself 168 cars. Well this house is made entirely of glass and is 570 feet tall.


2. Villa Leopolda
Location: French Riviera, France
Cost: $525 million

Villa Leopolda that values around $525 million is the second most expensive house in the world. It was built by King Leopold II of Belgium in 1902 as a present for his mistress, Blanche Zélia Joséphine Delacroix. The 80,000 square foot Chateau is currently owned by Lily Safra, wife of a banker Edmond Safra. The villas has been named in press for different reasons many times and was also rumored to be the house of Bill Gates and many other billionaires. It features 19 bedrooms, a bowling alley, dining rooms, movie theater, multiple kitchens and sports courts.


3. The Penthouse
Location: One Hyde Park, London, England
Cost: $200 million

The apartment is in One Hyde Park which is a major luxury retail and residential complex in London featuring retail unites of Rolex, McLaren Automotive and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank. The apartment is owned by Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetov who purchased it for $200 million early this year. Three-story apartment known as The Penthouse features bomb-proof windows, panic room, rotating paintings-cum-television screens, iris scanners, 24 hour room service by the nearby Mandarin Hotel that is connected to the building with a tunnel. The building features a private cinema, a swimming pool, saunas, a gym and many more luxuries.


4. Fairfield Pond
Location:  The Hamptons, Sagaponack, New York, United States
Cost: $170 million

Fairfield Pond, one of the largest privately owned houses in United States is the fourth most expensive house in the world valuing $170 million. It is named after adjoining body of water, Fairfield Pond and faces Atlantic Ocean. The ground area of the house is 63 acres and buildings are on 110,000 sq foot which also includes the 66,000 sq foot of main house that contains 29 bedrooms, 39 bathrooms and has Italian facade. The house is owned by Ira Rennert, the American investor and businessman. The house also feature a 91-foot long formal dining room, a $150,000 hot tub, bowling alley, two tennis and squash courts.


5. Hearst Mansion
Location:  Beverly Hills, California, United States
Cost: $165 million

This mansion was home of former publishing giant William Randolph Hearst who was also the inspiration for main character in Citizen Kane. The mansion features 29 bedrooms, three pools, a disco and theater. It was built in 1920s and was bought by William Randolph Hearst in 1947 for $120,000 and in 1976 it was sold to someone else who had put it up for sale asking a price of $165 million but then took it off in 2008 when no one showed interest in buying the property. An interesting fact about this house is that John F. Kennedy stayed here during his honeymoon. The mansion is also known for some notable neighbors which includes David and Victoria Beckham, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.


6. Franchuk Villa
Location:  Kensington, London, England
Cost: $161 million

Franchuk Villa that served a girl’s prep school until 1997 is the sixth most expensive house in the world, valuing at $161 million.  In 1997, it  was bought by Chinese family and remained in their ownership until 2006 when a developer Mike Sprink of Coll Hill Sprink 2 bought it for about $42 million and upgraded the house with an indoor swimming pool, theater, sauna and gym; all of that cost the developers $20 million. In 2008, the five-story house that has atleast five bedrooms was purchased by Elena Franchuk, AIDS philanthropist and daughter of former Ukrainian president. The house that was earlier known as Victorian was purchased by Franchuk for $161 million.


7. The Pinnacle,Montana
Location:  Montana, United States
Cost: $155 million

This is the home of Time and Edra Blixseth, owners of the billionaires-only golf and ski resort “Yellowstone Club” in Montana. It will be the largest and grandest property on the resort, but is still small in comparison to some of those on this list, with only 10 bedrooms. To catch up the property has impressive features such as every inch of floor being heated, a heated driveway and fireplaces in all bathrooms. (3-2 to America).


8.The Manor
Location: Los Angeles, California, United States
Cost: $150 million

The home of Aaron Spelling, dubbed “The Manor” by wife Cindy, has 123 rooms for his family to choose from, an indoor skating rink, multiple pools, three kitchens, sports courts, private orchard, and a bowling alley. The home, which he had built from scratch in 1991 also has a room used exclusively for wrapping presents and an entire floor dedicated to closet space.


9.Xanadu 2.0
Location: Medina, Washington, United States
Cost: $147 million

Bill Gates’ house that is nicknamed Xanadu 2.0 is a large mansion that is valued around $147.5 million and is the eighth most expensive house in the world. Located on the side of a hill that overlooks Lake Washington, this mansion is not only famous for its design but also the technology that has been incorporated in the house. The amazing unique features of the residence includes a pool with under-water music system, a gym of 2,500 sq. foot and a very large library with a domed shaped roof. Another very unique feature of the house is that guests wear pins upon entrance in the house which automatically adjusts the temperature and lighting, plays the music and does many more amazing things with the help of technology that an average person cannot even think of.



10.Updown Court, Windlesham, and Surrey
Location: Windlesham – Surrey, England
Cost: $139 million

This house is in England, it has 103 rooms, a bowling alley, a large movie theater, 3 swimming pools and a squash court. It is worth 116 million dollars and the best part is that its driveway is heated.The mansion has fully automated two-lane bowling alley, four swimming pools and an infinity pool, a squash court, a tennis court with flood lights, a customizeable cinema having capacity of 50 seats and a garage that could park 8 luxury cars limousines.
